Devotion For Music Ministers

I will bless the LORD at all times, His praise will continually be in my mouth. My soul will make it's boast in the LORD. The Humble will here thereof and be glad.
Oh magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together
Psalm 34:1-3

Triumphed Gloriously Part 2

Exodus 15:20. And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
22.And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.

What an awesome worship celebration! In part 1 we looked at how the enemy had discouraged the people of Israel. We saw that no matter how strong and stubborn the enemy is that God is still in control. Now we need to look back even further.
When the enemy sees you are confident in God to defeat him, he takes on a different strategey – division.
Moses and Aaron stood before Pharaoh for the first time and they commanded him, “Let my people go, that they may hold a feast in the wilderness.” One of the first things we should notice is that they were going into the wilderness in order to hold a celebration. A worship service involving prayer and sacrifice. Pharaoh saw the faith of Moses and Aaron. So he gave the orders, “Make the Hebrew slaves work harder.” Pharaoh knew if he made the slaves life more miserable they would take it out on Moses.

Exodus 5: 20. And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
21. And they said unto them, The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
22. And Moses returned unto the Lord, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?
23.For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

Romans 6:16 tells us that the one who commits sin is a slave to sin. The new birth is how we get free from that slavery. (verses 1-4)
The devil doesn't want you to feel freedom to worship. He will cause division to keep your worship from being effective. If he can keep your worship from being effective eventually you will wind up back in sin.
So now the Hebrews' lives were harder and they hated Moses for it. The thing that they didn't understand was it wasn't Moses that was causing there hardships. It was Pharaoh's hard heart. The enemy always attempts to cause mistrust and hurt feelings in order to cause division. He has a way of mimicking people's carnal nature to make it look like he is not involved.
Unity is what brings annointing. (Psalm 133) Even on the day of Pentecost, the birthday of the church, the outpouring of the Holy Ghost came when they were all in one accord. (Acts 2:1-4)
Division can keep worship from being powerful and meaningful. Jesus said that if you are offended with a brother get it reconciled. (Matthew 5:23-24) To bring this point home stronger, when Jesus taught the Lord's prayer He said forgiveness was vital. (Matthew 6:14-15) The Lord's Prayer begins and ends with praise.
Let's go back further in the life of Moses. When Moses first appoached the Hebrew slaves they were far from ready for freedom.
Exodus 4:28. And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.
29. And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:
30. And Aaron spake all the words which the Lord had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.
31.And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.
The people actually had to see miracles before they would even believe that God wanted to set them free. For all these problems Moses faced, we know the end result. There was a powerful worship service with God's miraculous power devering them from the clutches of slavery. Just as the apostle Paul said we are set free from sin by the new birth in Romans 6 he also brings up the parallel of The Israelies being set free through the Red Sea.
1 Corinthians10: 1 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea
If God has set you free from sin you have reason to celebrate.
